History
Establishment
In 1944 Mr. Joop Middelkoop took over the coal company of his father. Shortly after the second World War Mr. Joop Middelkoop expanded the coal business with a transport department. He started with a simple lorry of the brand name Ford. Very soon, the number of trucks was expanded and from that moment on a definitive choice for road transport was made: in 1953 the coal business was disposed of.
Nearly from the beginning our company took care of transport all over the Netherlands. By 1966 we also specialized in the transport of agricultural machinery throughout Western Europe.
Relocation
The coal company and later the transport company of Mr. Joop Middelkoop was located on the Hoofdweg 1155 in Nieuw-Vennep. In 1970 the company has been moved to the Rijnlanderweg 1401 in Nieuw-Vennep, because of the lack of space. Halfway through the 1980s, this old premises no longer met the standards of the time. The building was demolished and a new building was constructed on the same site in 1989. In the same year the sons Dio Middelkoop and Tjeerd Middelkoop have taken over their father's company.
Our company continued to grow thanks to the expansion of the transport of flowers/plants and air cargo. Therefore it became necessary to move to a larger premises with more parking facilities for our trucks. The relocation in 2002 to the Boekweitstraat 98 in Nieuw-Vennep gave us in all respects the space to continuing and expanding our transport activities.
